A recap of Christmas 2024

Was Christmas 2024 seriously here and gone, holy cow! I definately think that Thanksgiving having been a little later this year made a big impact on how that felt.

Our family and friend gatherings were spread out around a couple weeks which was so nice! It allowed the week to not feel as crazy. We gathered with my family locally in PA and also with ones who did some traveling to NJ. We woke up, stayed in our comfy wear, drank some hot coffee, and snuggled up by the tree watching movies for most of the day and there are no regrets!

I am excited to share a little tour from around our home for Christmas this past year (2024). This is a modern farmhouse/boho décor reveal with layers of cozy, neutrals, and splashes of burgundy/tans and greenery.

I hope you enjoy this (magical) tour of our home and I hope you had a wonderful fulfilling Merry Christmas.

The entryway:

I wanted to leave that first welcoming impression as soon as you step foot into our entryway. I added a beautiful solid textured vase holding dried pom pom blooms wrapped with a simple burgundy velvet bow. This year the bows were in style, and I absolutely loved it!! I added a few more touches of ribbon strung with our garlands and stockings this year as well :) And of course I had to show off the Target's "viral" tree frame, it really is beautiful in person, especially the bronze like wooden frame itself.

Living Room:

The living room had all the garlands! I also did the same thing last year as well, but I just loved the result that I brought it back again this year! The living room is always my favorite, it's so cozy snuggled up by a crackling fire with twinkling lights in the room!

The Dining Room:

The Dining Room had the most minimal décor this year, but that's ok! Minimal is always my goal, but allowing the small touches to bring the space together and show it off!

Between the living and kitchen space:

I always love having the opportunity to have open shelving to reorganize and decorate for every season! Here I kept it mostly neutral with some wintery trees, a beautiful piece of wall art from the Studio Mcgee line, and of course some rattan accents as well :)

This beautiful cabinet we purchased a few years ago from Home Depot, it has "been the ticket for us", not only is it a pretty and a simple cabinet, but it's fun decorating it for each season, and also for practical use. I love the twinkling tree lights as well :) You've probably seen a pattern, there were a lot of different varieties of trees sprinkled through our home this year, they are great for a Christmassy/winter combo accents.

Onto the kitchen:

Some super easy switches here, and it instantly felt like a whole new holiday season! Another find through the Studio Mcgee line was this timeless floral/bell gold framed art. I was pretty proud of myself, I was head of the ball game and purchased a few items through the Studio Mcgee line before they sold out!

Master Bedroom:

I think the master bedroom alongside of the living room is my fav!! It's a space I want to spend more time in because of how comfortable it is. The electrical fireplace, the twinkling Christmas lights and a comfy bed! This year I was so excited to switch out the décor above our bed, I took down the art print and added a super reasonable wreath from Walmart (with some added branches) and a vibrant goldish bow!

If you missed our DIY electrical fireplace build, see it here! It was the easiest home project we completed, and it's been one of the best adds to our home!

This year, our home decorated for Christmas had brought lots of joy and warmth:) My goal was simple, use neutrals with a twist of moody, and a home that felt welcoming for all those who entered. Thank you so much for reading!

At this time I do not have any links to all the items we bought and used due to everything being past season and out of stock. But any of the pieces I mentioned above were purchased at Target!
