Swapping out the old, and bringing in the new!
Honestly, I didn't originally put too much thought into the curtains in our kitchen, we just found a pattern that went with our wall color and called it a day. After some time though, I began realizing the small curtains were taking something away from the bigger and taller windows, as well as making the small window above the sink feel "more crowded". So something needed to be changed!
Being that I am moving towards being a minimalist, and want for a neutral and bright home, it made for an easy decision. So I decided, why not make it easy and add white curtains, so that's what I did! I purchased these curtains from Walmart (2 panels for $12). They were a little too long, so to add more of a shabby chic look, I folded over the ends, and I now love how they turned out! We added the ring clips to the original rod, and I also love how they look with the simple white curtains! Instantly these new curtains made the space feel more open, showed off the tall windows, and present a clean look!
As for the window above the sink, I took down the rod above the light, and instead bought a $2 tension rod from Walmart, ring clips and added this sweet curtain at the midway of the window. I am so glad we ended up doing this, because it just totally changed the feeling of our space. It also allows more privacy at night by pulling the curtain across. It's simple and made the window to both feel and look bigger!
That's all we I did. Nothing to extravagant, just a few tweaks here and there to change up the room by making it brighter and more inviting! Thanks for reading!
